The University of California San Diego and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) are organizing a joint-workshop on computational mechanics and sciences geared towards women researchers. This is an inclusive virtual workshop and open to everyone interested. LANL has convened the Regional Academic Collaboration (ReACt) collective with selected universities in the Southwest Region. ReACt seeks to facilitate increased collaborative multidisciplinary resarch and academic interaction between LANL and regional universities.
The primary goals of this workshop are:
- To promote gender balance in the field of computational mechanics and sciences.
- To provide an opportunity for university researchers to form research collaborations in partnership with LANL and LLNL.
- To build a relationship between the DOE national labs and the regional universities for the academic placements and future workforce.
Please see the event website for additional information.
