On July 17, 2019, Vice Chancellor for Research Roger Wakimoto announced via a BruinPost that Professor of Physiology Nancy Wayne has stepped down from her position as Associate Vice Chancellor for Laboratory Safety, as of July 1, 2019, and for 2019-20 will serve as Deputy to the President for University Strategic Partnerships at the University of Redlands. The campus thanks former AVC Wayne for her committed service and for her significant contributions to our campus. Much of the campus approach and culture related to laboratory and research safety has been influenced by the insightful leadership and tenacity of former AVC Wayne.
