The Director of UCNL So Cal Hub position is now open. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Research at UC Irvine, this person will lead, enhance, and increase collaborations between the five UC Campuses and the UC managed National Laboratories (LLNL and LANL). They will develop and establish an agenda to achieve research objectives with the steering council and technical committee. This role involves working with stakeholders, customers, and researchers to determine scope, time frames, and funding requirements. They will oversee program administration, identify outreach services, and formulate program strategies and goals. The Director is considered a subject matter expert of the organization and is recognized as an expert externally in the field.
