On February 2, 2021 Chancellor Gene D. Block announced via a BruinPost the launch of the Chancellor’s Council on the Arts bringing together three professional arts schools, three public-facing arts organizations and the UCLA College Humanities Division to increase collaboration and coordination of arts activities and programming at UCLA.
Chancellor Block also shared information about the UCLA Chancellor’s Arts Initiative to support UCLA faculty arts-based research through awards of up to $15,000 administered by the Chancellor’s Council on the Arts and the Office for Research and Creative Activities. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2021.
