On March 12, 2024, Norman and Armena Powell University Librarian Athena N. Jackson, invited undergraduate students, who have completed a research paper or project, to apply for the 2024 Library Prize for Undergraduate Research.

On December 19, 2023, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research & Creative Activities (ORCA) and the Centennial Celebration Steering Committee announced the next cycle of the Public Impact Research Awards. These awards recognize individual faculty, or teams, whose research or creative activities have had a significant beneficial public impact.
On December 12, 2023, The UCLA Chancellor’s Council on the Arts and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research & Creative Activities (ORCA) announced the 2023-24 Chancellor’s Arts Initiative. The purpose of the Chancellor’s Arts is to support UCLA faculty arts-based research, recognizing and supporting the value of creative activities in the arts for the university, Los Angeles communities and beyond.
On October 24, 2023, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Personnel Michael S. Levine, made a call for nominations for the 2023-2024 Dickson Emeritus Professorship Award and the Carole E. Goldberg Emeriti Service Award. Per year, departments are limited to one nomination for each award.
