On July 19, 2018, Associate Vice Chancellor for the Technology Development Group Amir Naiberg announced that UCLA Policy 955 ("Net Royalty Distribution of Non-Patented Intellectual Property"), and UCLA Procedures 955.1 ("Release of Patent Rights to Inventors") and 955.2 ("Distribution of the University’s General Pool andResearch Share Portions of Net Royalties"), have been codified within UCLA’s Administrative Policies and Procedures (APP).
