On February 22, 2023, the Faculty Advisory committee of the Center for Community Engagement announced the 2023-2024 Chancellor’s Award for Community-Engaged Scholars. This program offers:
- Five $10,000 awards to support a cohort of UCLA ladder faculty to advance their community-engaged scholarly activity and develop a new undergraduate community engaged research course
Applications must be submitted by April 7, 2023, and sent to communityengagement@college.ucla.edu.
In this context, the community-engaged research encompasses collaborative research or creative work with community partners that addresses social inequalities or public issues. All proposals for work anywhere in the U.S or world will be considered, but there is particular interest for community-engaged work in the LA area.
