On January 7, 2019, Joseph Bristow, chair of the Academic Senate, and Antoinette Gomes, chair of the Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (CODEI), invited nominations for the UCLA Academic Senate 2019 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award offers an excellent opportunity to celebrate and reinforce the enormous contributions made by those in our campus community who have aided in the furtherance of a diverse, impartial, and inclusive academic environment.
